2019 Charles Schwab Challenge prize money

Golf News

How much will players earn on the PGA Tour this weekend?

The total 2019 Charles Schwab Challenge prize money has been set at $7,300,000 with the winner receiving the standard 17 percent cut of the total prize fund.

This means there is $200,000 more on offer compared to last year’s Fort Worth Invitational and the winners’ share being just under $40,000 more than what Justin Rose took home.

Players who make the cut will receive over $14,600 while players who work their way into the top 10 will pocket over $195,000 depending on ties.

New Sponsor

The tournament has a new title sponsor following Dean & Delucca’s decision to pull out of a six-year agreement before the 2018 tournament.

Last year, four local corporate supporters stepped in to provide financial support while the PGA Tour and Colonial Country Club found a new title sponsor.

American Airlines, AT&T, XTO Energy Inc. and Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway were the companies to step in and fund the 2018 tournament which was called the Fort Worth Invitational.

The tournament is one of five tournaments to have invitational status by the PGA Tour and therefore has a reduced field of around 125 players.

The other four tournaments to have invitational status are the Masters, Geneis Open (from 2020), Arnold Palmer Invitational, RBC Heritage and the Memorial Tournament.

Here is a full breakdown of the 2019 Charles Schwab Challenge prize money.
